German automotive company WITTE Automotive has completed the second expansion of its production facility in Ruse, Bulgaria, which will create over 300 new jobs. The new building spans nearly 25,000 sq. metres across three levels and is expected to reach full operational capacity within three to four years, the company said.

"The current workforce at WITTE in Ruse is 1,160. This expansion alone represents an investment of EUR 25.5 million in construction, with an additional EUR 30 million previously invested in facilities and equipment," Hristo Hristov, Managing Director of WITTE Automotive Bulgaria told BTA.

Once fully operational, the plant is expected to double its annual output from EUR 210 million to nearly EUR 400 million, contributing approximately 15% of Ruse’s gross domestic product.

At the inauguration ceremony, Ruse Mayor Pencho Milkov praised the investment as a major opportunity for the region. He presented Hristov with a miniature of Ruse’s iconic Monument of Liberty. Regional Governor Dragomir Draganov affirmed the government's support for sustainable business development.

Moritz Seiler, head of the German Embassy’s Economic Section, highlighted Bulgaria’s planned adoption of the euro in 2026 as a key factor in attracting further foreign investment.

WITTE Automotive CEO Rainer Goelz emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and excellent working conditions.

The event concluded with an open house, allowing visitors to explore the new facility, meet staff, and learn about career and partnership opportunities.
