site.btaBulgaria's Ambassador to Romania, Tulcea Mayor Sign Agreement for Construction of Bust Monument to Stefan Karadzha

Bulgarian Ambassador to Romania Radko Vlaykov and Tulcea Mayor Stefan Ilie signed an agreement in Bucharest for the construction of a bust monument to revolutionary Stefan Karadzha. The sides agreed that the monument would be unveiled by the end of the year in Piata Noua Park in Tulcea, near St. George Church, also known as the Bulgarian Church.
Ambassador Vlaykov said that Bulgaria and Romania’s shared past is a solid foundation for future collaboration on projects. “These are projects that would benefit both Bulgaria and the people of Tulcea, particularly in areas such as tourism development and EU-funded projects,” he said.
Vlaykov also thanked Tulcea Mayor Ilie for accepting his invitation to participate in an upcoming meeting of municipalities along the Danube from both the Bulgarian and Romanian sides.
