The NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, Gen. Philippe Lavigne, will visit Bulgaria March 6-8, the Defence Ministry reported here on Wednesday.

As part of his visit, Gen. Lavigne is scheduled to confer with President Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, Defence Minister Todor Tagarev and the Parliamentary Defence Committee.

The official part of the visit will start with a meeting with Bulgaria’s Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov. The talks will focus on matters of mutual interest related to the process of the Alliance’s defence planning, achieving operational compatibility, investments in collective defence and projects with multinational and general financing, in which Bulgaria participates.
