Bulgarian biotechnology company Nasekomo Tuesday signed a strategic partnership with technology giant Siemens in the field of robotics and digitalization during the events taking place at the Bulgarian pavilion at the COP28 climate conference in Dubai. The agreement was signed on behalf of Siemens by the group's CEO for Bulgaria, Eng. Dr. Boryana Manolova, and on behalf of Nasekomo by Virak Chhuor, Vice President for Engineering and Manufacturing.

The partnership is based on four pillars: robotization of processes, digitization of manufacturing technologies, digitization of context, and artificial intelligence to make the data resource available to all factories, Chhuor said.

Nasekomo aims to have 100 factories by 2030, the first of which - in Bulgaria, company representative Maria Alexandrova said.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Innovation and Growth Minister Milena Stoycheva and Environment and Water Minister Julian Popov.

Stoycheva said at the beginning of the ceremony that this partnership is a great example of the collaboration between young companies and established market players that provide solutions for key worldwide. Nasekomo is among the companies supported by the Innovation and Growth Ministry through the Seal of Excellence programme, she noted.
