Minimum Wage in Turkiye Up by 34% from July 1

The minimum wage in Turkiye will increase by 34%  as of July 1, said Turkish Labour and Social Security Minister Vedat Isikhan, quited by TRT Haber.

As of July the net  minimum wage will be set at TRY 11,402 (BGN 863.52), and the gross at TRY 13,414 (BGN 1,015.9), said Isikhan.

He spoke after a meeting with Ozgur Burak Akkol, Chairman of the Turkish Employers' Unions Confederation (TISK), and Ergun Atalay, President of TURK-IS,

Currently, the net minimum wage is TRY 8,506.

Isikhan said that the minimum wage increased by 107% within a year.
