Patriarch Neophyte, the head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Tuesday received Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, said the Patriarch's office. The two sides discussed various initiatives and projects, among them dialogue between the religions and theintroduction of religious education as an elective subject in Bulgarian schools.

Denkov expressed the appreciation of the government for the mission and work of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, and thanked for the support of the Church for the efforts to help the Ukrainian people fleeing the war.

Metropolitan Anthony thanked the government for the support in the acquisition of a church for Bulgarians in Stuttgart, Germany.
