Parliament will discuss at an extraordinary sitting Tuesday the motion of Vazrazhdane to hear the heads of the State Agency for National Security (SANS), the Military Intelligence Service and the Intelligence State Agency, the National Assembly Chair Rossen Zhelyazkov said at the end of Friday's plenary.
Earlier in the day, Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) MP Radostin Vasilev made public a recording which he claims was made at an online meeting of CC’s National Council on May 21. In connection with the recording, Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov said his Parliamentary Group would alert the Prosecutor General and ask for verifying the authenticity of the recordings and for investigating and charging the persons mentioned in them. According to Kostadinov, the recording contains information about a crime against the Republic pursuant to the Criminal Code.
The request for the hearing states that the security services should verify whether the implications that appointments in the services are ''cleared with embassies of foreign countries". And, if that is the case, it would mean to surrender national sovereignty and forfeit state interests, according to Vazrazhdane.
