site.btaDraft Contribution Agreement Approved under Macro-Financial Assistance+ to Ukraine for 2023

The Council of Ministers on Wednesday approved a draft agreement between Bulgaria and the European Commission covering this country's contribution to the interest rate subsidy under the Instrument for providing EU support to Ukraine (macro-financial assistance +) for 2023, established by Regulation (EU) 2022/2463 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 December 2022.

The Minister of Finance was mandated to sign the contribution agreement on behalf of Bulgaria, subject to subsequent ratification.

According to the agreement as approved, Bulgaria will contribute up to BGN 27.3 million to the Instrument for the 2024-2027 period, or an average of up to BGN 6.8 million per year.
