The contribution of the Jewish community to political, social and cultural life in Bulgaria is the subject of an exhibition in Sofia.

The exhibition can be viewed between May 2 and 15 on Sofia's Lovers' Bridge next to the National Palace of Culture (NPC). The official opening is on May 4, according to the Enthusiast Publishing House, which is among the initiators together with the Shalom Organization of Jews in Bulgaria and the Sofia Municipality.

The exhibition is on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the rescue of the Jews in Bulgaria and the commemoration of the 11, 343 victims from Belomorska Trakia, Vardar Macedonia and the town of Pirot. The author of the texts and iconography is Lea Cohen, the curator is publisher Viktoria Biserova, the designer is Yana Argiropoulos, and consultants are Mihailina Pavlova, Ivanka Gezenko and Natasha Kolevska. 

Photographic materials from private collections, the archives of Shalom, Jewish News newspaper and Estreya magazine, the State Archives Agency, BTA and the archive of the Bulgarian Army Theatre were used.
