site.btaE-platform for Monitoring Prices of Staple Foods to Be Unveiled


The Ministers of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov and of Agriculture Yavor Gechev on Friday will unveil an electronic platform for monitoring of the prices of basic food products, the government information service said.
The event will be attended by representatives of the State Commission for Commodity Exchange and Wholesale Markets, the National Revenue Agency, the Customs Agency and others.
Last week, in a television interview, Minister Stoyanov said that the website that will provide information on the prices of staple foodstuffs in retail outlets is ready. He added that some of the retail chains have expressed their willingness to publish price information themselves. The aim is for consumers to be able to compare the prices of different products in the different outlets.
