site.btaPM Radev Attends Bastille Day Military Parade in Paris

Prime Minister Rumen Radev attended the military parade on the occasion of France's national holiday, Bastille Day, which took place at Place de la Concorde in Paris, the Council of Ministers said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. Radev visited Paris at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Bulgarian delegation in Paris includes Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov and Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova, who also attended the military parade. 

This year's military parade featured about 6,700 service members, 299 combat vehicles and 193 horses. The air show featured 98 military aircraft, including eight from allied countries, 32 helicopters and about 60 drones. Bulgaria's National Guards Unit also participated, which, according to the Facebook post, "is a sign of the excellent and close relations between Bulgaria and France, as well as a deepening partnership and mutual respect between the two countries". 

Participating in the parade were also military personnel from the UK, Germany, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Austria, Ukraine, Canada and Australia.

The Bulgarian Prime Minister previously visited France at the end of May, when he met with President Macron.
