Regional Development and Public Works Minister Ivan Shishkov appointed architect Delyana Panayotova head of the National Construction Control Directorate (DNSK), the press office of the Regional Development Ministry announced on Monday.

Panayotova graduated from Sofia's University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy in 2003. She has more than 20 years of experience in the sphere of investment planning in construction. She has substantial experience in administration, the press release said.

She worked in Sofia Municipality's Architecture and Urban Planning Department. She was also the chief architect of Haskovo Municipality. She was previously the head of the Haskovo Regional Construction Control Directorate and deputy head of the National Construction Control Directorate. Petrova headed DNSK from August 2022 to April 2024.
