The Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Munich, Stefan Ionkov, took part in a traditional summer reception in the Schleissheim Palace in Germany at the invitation of Ilse Aigner, the President of the Bavarian State Parliament, Bulgaria's Consulate General in Munich reported on its Facebook page on Sunday. During the event, Ionkov held meetings and discussions with representatives from Bavaria's political, economic and public life.
A particular highlight was the meeting and discussion with Florian Herrmann, head of the Bavarian State Chancellery and Bavarian Minister of State for Federal and European Affairs and the Media. Ionkov and Hermann discussed the excellent relations between Bulgaria and the Free State of Bavaria, along with opportunities for further strengthening these ties and the prospects for new joint initiatives and partnerships.
With more than 3,000 guests, the reception is one of the most prestigious and high-profile events on Bavaria's political and social calendar. Every year, it brings together leading figures from state institutions, politics, business, science, culture, the media, the diplomatic corps and civil society.
