site.btaGERB Leader Borissov Says He Is Now a "Safe and Free" Citizen

GERB leader Boyko Borissov said on Wednesday that Bulgarian security services no longer saw internal or external threats against him. Earlier, GERB Deputy Chair Tomislav Donchev said Borissov's National Service for Protection detail would be withdrawn from Thursday.

"I am glad there is no longer any information in the Bulgarian services about internal or external threats against me. I am glad that as of Wednesday I am a safe and free Bulgarian citizen," Borissov wrote on his official Facebook profile.

Earlier on Wednesday, Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev said the decision to withdraw the National Service for Protection security details for MRF Chair Delyan Peevski and Borissov followed an analysis of data from the competent authorities.
