The Central Election Commission (CEC) held a final meeting with a team from the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on Monday. The international observers congratulated the Commission on the organization of the April 19 parliamentary elections, stating that, in their view, the elections were transparent and election day passed calmly, without significant violations, CEC said in a press release.

In its preliminary findings, the international mission assessed CEC's performance in positive terms. The observers acknowledged the efforts of the CEC and the election administration, noting the high level of public trust, effective preparation at all levels, the transparent certification process for voting machines and the large-scale public awareness campaign, including outreach to young voters. The benefits of CEC's digital tools were also noted, including a mobile application for completing tally sheets by section commissions, which improved accuracy, as well as an interactive map of voting sections that facilitated access to information and enhanced transparency.

During the meeting, observers discussed issues related to the work of section election commissions and the reporting of results, and expressed support for CEC's proposals for changes in the legal framework.

The snap parliamentary elections were conducted transparently and efficiently, with high voter turnout, international observers told a press conference on April 20. International observers from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), who monitored the vote, noted the strong organization of the responsible institutions and active civic participation, despite Parliament's decision to limit the number of sections in non-EU countries to 20 each, not counting the sections at the diplomatic missions and consular posts.
