The State Cultural Institute Cultural Center "The Palace" in Balchik will host Music and Poetry Days with conductor, violinist and award winning composer Martin Panteleev in May. This mini festival combines music, poetry and educational initiatives, said Vera Demireva, organizer of festivals, cultural activities and special events at The Palace.

The event will take place between May 7 and 10, in the Stone Hall and the Nymphaeum at The Palace. The festival will open with a concert, include masterclasses for children, and conclude with a special programme.

"One evening the audience will enjoy tango and evergreen pieces, while another will feature classical music, including Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. The children's masterclasses will present the history of the violin and the clarinet. The final part will include original music by Martin Panteleev and poetry by authors from Balchik," Demireva said.

The poems will be selected by Rositsa Shalteva, chair of the literary club in the seaside town. "The specific works have not yet been chosen. This part of the programme will be a pleasant surprise for the audience," Demireva said.
