On the occasion of Palm Sunday, President Iliana Iotova wished for more light and hope in everyone’s lives in a Facebook post.

She extended her greetings to all who celebrate the holiday today and also congratulated fellow citizens of Catholic and Armenian communities who mark Easter. “May faith in goodness and mutual understanding endure among us,” the President wrote.

The last Sunday of Lent is known as the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem, Willow Sunday (from Greek), or Palm Sunday. It commemorates the solemn entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem a few days before His Passion and crucifixion.
