At an election campaign rally here on Wednesday, Progressive Bulgaria leader Rumen Radev said: "We have had enough of governments that have become increasingly arrogant and indifferent to your problems and hopes." He noted that this was the reason he resigned as president of Bulgaria and, together with like-minded people, formed the Progressive Bulgaria coalition to restore trust in the State.

In his words, Bulgaria is not a poor country but it is poorly governed and plundered by the oligarchy, which sucks the lifeblood out of society and reaches into the pockets of every person.

"We have had enough of all kinds of political alliances. We have had enough of the inability to defend our national interests abroad. But they have done something even worse - they have killed people’s hope that real change is possible, that Bulgarian politics can be guided by principles and morality," Radev noted.

The Progressive Bulgaria leader said further that Bulgaria must not be allowed to be drawn into military conflicts. “Not a single cent from Bulgaria should go toward these wars. We did not start them, and we should not be the ones to pay the price for them," he added.

The focus of the measures in Progressive Bulgaria's programme is the individual, Radev further stated, and announced that steps have already been taken to establish the Progressive Bulgaria party, with the founding declaration now complete.

During the event, the candidates for members of Parliament from the 31st constituency Yambol were presented, with Encho Keryazov topping the list.
