Christian Hartmann, Foreign Trade Officer at the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Middle Franconia, opened an economic forum in Nuremberg on Wednesday dedicated to market opportunities for nearshoring in Bulgaria. Nearshoring is a business strategy for the relocation of processes, production and services to countries that are geographically and culturally close.
Hartmann noted that the largest chamber of industry and commerce in Germany is the one in Munich, but the Nuremberg Chamber, with more than 140,000 member companies, is among the largest in the country.
The event is jointly organized by the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Munich and the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Official guests include Bulgaria’s Consul General in Munich Stefan Yonkov, Ruse Deputy Mayor for International Programmes and Projects, Investments and Property Zlatomira Stefanova, Senior Expert for Economy, Investments, International Cooperation and Projects at the Ruse Municipality Vasilena Dimova, Patrick Jung, Deputy Executive Director of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Bulgarien) in Sofia, Martin Godemann, Manager at ProCredit Bank AG, Frankfurt am Main, and Axel Eisele, Department for Economic Affairs and Science City of Nuremberg.
Companies presented at the forum include Bulgarian firms and companies with Bulgarian participation: Alcomet AD, Droxic OOD, Epix.AI, Wiser Technology, Elevate and Elevate Partner Network, Schwarz IT, Erst IT ltd., PLAN A, Communication Consulting, Dr. Miluscheva Rechtsanwaltskanzlei, OIKON, Anwaltskanzlei DAMYANOVA, bnt attorneys in CEE, IVANOVLEGAL, InterGest GmbH, weSystems and DeBulCo.
B2B meetings are scheduled in the information technology, mechanical engineering and automotive sectors.
The Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce is a public-law corporation representing the interests of the regional business community, bringing together more than 140,000 member companies. Membership is mandatory for all commercial enterprises in the region, regardless of sector. The Chamber acts as a link between business and government, focusing on economic development and cooperation among companies.
