site.btaBulgarian Higher Education to Be Promoted among Students of Bulgarian Origin in Ukraine on Feb. 25
An information campaign to promote Bulgarian higher education among prospective students of Bulgarian origin in Ukraine will take place online on February 25, Natalia Kara, vice principal of the Georgi Rakovski High School in Bolhrad, told BTA. The campaign is organized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science in cooperation with the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad.
The initiative is being implemented in accordance with Decree No. 103 of the Council of Ministers of 1993 on the implementation of educational activities among Bulgarians abroad, as well as Decree No. 228 of 1997 on the admission of citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia to state higher education institutions in Bulgaria for the 2026/2027 school year.
The information campaign will provide details on the opportunities for applying to higher education institutions in Bulgaria, the conditions for admission, and the procedure for submitting documents. The event is aimed at young people of Bulgarian nationality who wish to continue their education in Bulgaria, as well as at schools and organizations working with Bulgarian communities abroad.
Meetings in other countries are also planned as part of the campaign. An information meeting for Moldova will be held on February 26 and for Romania on February 27. Events are planned for March and May in Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, and the Republic of North Macedonia.
