Outgoing Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov stated on Wednesday that the country is not planning to send Bulgarian military personnel to participate in NATO exercises in Greenland. He made this statement during a parliamentary Defence Committee hearing on current issues.

Zapryanov was responding to a question from MP Ivelin Parvanov of the Vazrazhdane parliamentary group on whether Bulgarian military personnel were likely to participate in NATO exercises in Greenland.

According to a statement cited by Reuters, France wants NATO exercises in Greenland and is ready to cooperate on them.
