An overnight attack on Odesa Region has left one person injured and residential and industrial infrastructure damaged, Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said on Telegram.
The injured person is a 50-year-old man who has been hospitalized, Kiper added.
"During the night, the enemy once again carried out a massive drone attack on the southern part of Odesa Region. Residential and industrial infrastructure was damaged. There is destruction and damage to private homes in the region. A furniture warehouse was destroyed," Kiper said.
Fires that broke out as a result of the strikes have been extinguished. All specialized services are working on the ground to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and are the third largest population group in Ukraine, according to the latest official census. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
