The government has appointed Elizabeth Konstantinova Varbanova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria accredited to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as Bulgaria’s representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), headquartered in The Hague, the government information  service said on Monday.

The appointment takes into account both prevailing international practice and established national experience in accrediting a Bulgarian representative to the OPCW.
