Support for the anti-government protests currently stands at 71.3%, according to a survey by the Myara polling agency. The poll was conducted face-to-face among 803 adult Bulgarians between November 27 and December 3, 2025. The pollsters specify that 1% of the sample is equal to about 54,000 people.

The survey also shows that 21.4% of those surveyed are against the protests, while 7.3% are undecided. Support for the protests is widespread among the various opposition electorates, as well as among non-voters, while the electorates of the parties in the ruling coalition appear to be in contrast, the survey shows.

Out of all respondents, 49.8% want the government to resign, 32.6% do not, and 17.6% are undecided.

Early elections are preferred by 48% of respondents, 35.8% are against them, and 16.2% are undecided.

Tens of thousands of citizens took to the streets in Sofia and major regional centres across Bulgaria on Monday to protest the adoption of the 2026 State Budget Bill. Protests were held in Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse, Pleven, Stara Zagora, Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo, Dobrich, Blagoevgrad, Sliven, Shumen and Yambol. The protests were organized by Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) against the draft state budget, with the subsequent demand for its withdrawal and revision turning into a demand for the resignation of the Cabinet. Anti-government protests were also held in Sofia and across the country on Wednesday, despite the National Assembly unanimously approving the withdrawal of the State Budget Bill earlier in the day.
