President Rumen Radev will award the Honorary Sign of the President to distinguished Bulgarian athletes at a ceremony at the Presidential Institution, the President's press secretariat said on Thursday.

For exceptional contributions to the development of Bulgarian and world sports, the Olympic movement, the nurturing of young talents, and on the occasion of significant anniversaries, the Honorary Sign of the head of State will be presented to the President of the Bulgarian Trampoline Federation and long-time honorary member of the International Gymnastics Federation Council, Stoyan Dimitrov.

The award will also be presented to Lyubomir Ganev, bronze medalist from the 1986 World Volleyball Championship in France and President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation, as well as to Serafim Barzakov, silver medalist from the 2004 Olympic Games in Sydney and two-time World Champion in freestyle wrestling. The Honorary Sign will also be awarded to Maria Petrova, three-time World Champion and two-time European Champion in rhythmic gymnastics, and Vice President of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation.
