The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the National Ombudsman signed a partnership agreement at the BTA National Press Club in Sofia on Monday.

BTA Director General Kiril Valchev announced that Ombudsman Velislava Delcheva would start using BTA's national press clubs across the country as reception rooms. BTA has consistently covered the Ombudsman’s activities, and this coverage has intensified in recent years, Valchev added.

BTA has built a network of 43 national press clubs across the country.

Ombudsman Velislava Delcheva said she hoped her office could establish a lasting partnership with BTA that would yield positive results. "I also hope that we will work together for the citizens' rights and freedoms, including their right of access to information," Delcheva said.

The Ombudsman's first reception at a BTA national press club will be held in Samokov on September 30, Delcheva said. The next reception days will be in Gotse Delchev on October 9 and in Petrich on October 10, she added.
