site.btaZornitsa Halacheva’s Exhibition Iberian Diaries Opened on September 6 in the Portuguese Town of Moura


Bulgarian artist Zornitsa Halacheva, who lives in Portugal, opened a solo exhibition on September 6, 2025, in the Portuguese town of Moura. Halacheva’s works are exhibited in the restored Church of the Holy Spirit and will be on display until September 28, the artist for BTA’s “BG World” section.
Among the official guests at the opening were Lourdes Balola, a municipal councilor, and Ana Marta Nobre, a representative of the Municipal Museum in Moura.
“During the opening, I was honored with the coat of arms of the Municipality of Moura, crafted on a ceramic tile, as well as a book about the church’s unique frescoes, dating back to the distant 17th century,” Halacheva said.
She also noted that, for the first time, this exhibition brings together paintings from her project Iberian Diaries and from the series Seaport Zones and The Blue Cloak, where she takes a deeper look into the Iberian landscape.
Zornitsa Halacheva was born in Stara Zagora in 1987. She graduated from the National High School of Plastic Arts and Design in Kazanlak and continued her education at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. In 2019, she obtained a master's degree in museum studies from the University of Porto, Portugal.
She has been living and working in Portugal for over 10 years and has participated in numerous exhibitions both in her homeland and across Europe.
