Bulgarian conductor Delyana Lazarova will lead a concert of the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra in Osaka on July 25, the Bulgarian Embassy in Tokyo said on its Facebook page.
The Japan Century Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of Maestra Lazarova at The Symphony Hall, the invitation says. The programme includes The Tomb of Couperin suite (orchestral version) by Maurice Ravel, Entr'acte by Caroline Shaw and Symphony No. 4 in B-flat major, Op. 60 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
Delyana Lazarova was born in Plovdiv in 1985, graduated from the Dobrin Petkov National School of Music and Dance in her hometown with a degree in violin in the class of Violeta Stoyanova. She studied conducting at the Zurich University of the Arts with Prof. Johannes Schlaefli. She has attended numerous masterclasses with Bernard Haitink, Paavo Jarvi, Leonard Slatkin, Mark Stringer, Robert Spano and Matthias Pintscher.
