Dusan Djordjevic, a musician, instrumentalist and accordion teacher at the satellite classes of the Dr Dragutin Gostuski Music School in Dimitrovgrad and Babusnica in Serbia, is the guest in the latest episode of the bilingual (Bulgarian and Serbian) TV series by the multimedia portal FAR, titled Media Pluralism, Freedom of Expression and Democracy.
In the programme, Djordjevic shares the story of his musical journey and career, his work with children, and his future plans. He says he enjoys working with young musicians and believes that there is always talent to be found—and that it must be nurtured. According to him, music is relaxing and is a form of art that unites all people.
Djordjevic was born in Zajecar in 1992, where he received his early music education under Professor Jelena Srbinovska. From the beginning of his studies, he showed a great love for music, which led to his participation in numerous national and international competitions. He continued his musical training under Professor Dusan Vuckovic in Kragujevac at the Dr Miloje Milojevic Music School. He completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Faculty of Philology and Arts at the University of Kragujevac in the class of Professor Predrag Kostovic. He also earned a master’s degree in chamber music under Professor Borislav Cicovacki.
Djordjevic boasts numerous awards from competitions in Serbia and abroad. As a solo accordionist (bayan player) and as part of chamber ensembles, he has performed in various concerts, attended masterclasses with renowned professors, and served on juries at local and international competitions.
As a member of the Blue Sonos Duo, he recorded the original ambient music album Blue Ambiental. Released by DistroKid, the album is available on all major music streaming platforms including Deezer, Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and YouTube.
In 2016, he began teaching at the Stevan Mokranjac Music School in Zajecar and later continued his teaching career at the Dr Dragutin Gostuski Music School in Pirot. His students have won many prizes at regional, national, and international competitions. In addition to classical music, he also performs pieces across various musical genres.
