The new collection of short stories and travelogues by Angel Kolev, titled “Outcast. Seven Plus Seven on the Richter Scale”, will be presented at the Bulgarian Consulate General in New York on Thursday.
The event is organized in cooperation with the Consulate and the League of Bulgarian Writers in the United States and Worldwide.
The new book “Outcast. Seven Plus Seven on the Richter Scale” by writer Angel Kolev brings together stories and accounts from his journeys across five continents, Potayniche Publishing House told BTA.
The publisher noted that the collection covers topics from various eras, written with passion and dedication. “‘Richter’ is an apt title—the author's stories are powerful yet not overwhelming; they speak to anyone who draws inspiration from genuine experiences in real life,” the publisher said.
Angel Kolev was born on October 12, 1950. He earned a degree in journalism from Lviv, Ukraine, in 1974. Since 1999, he has resided in Philadelphia, USA, with his family.
Kolev publishes his work in newspapers, magazines, and literary anthologies. He is the author of the books “99 Pages from America” and “This Is Alaska”. “Outcast. Seven Plus Seven on the Richter Scale” is his third published book. He is the creator and owner of the literary project “For the Letters”. He has been a member of the League of Bulgarian Writers in United States and Worldwide since its foundation in Chicago in 2010, becoming its president in 2019.
