The Consul General of Bulgaria in New York, Angel Angelov, was unanimously re-elected for the second time by the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York as its Vice President and member of the Executive Board. The organization, established 100 years ago, represents the largest consular community in the world, the Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York said on its Facebook page. 

The Bulgarian diplomat, together with the other members of the Executive Board for the 2024-2025 period, received certificates of appreciation for their efforts in the management of the Society over the past year. 

The ceremony took place at the Consulate General of Argentina in New York and was attended by New York City's Commissioner for International Affairs Edward Mermelstein, said the Bulgarian Consulate General.
