The December 2025 issue of BTA's LIK magazine was presented at the BTA National Press Club here on Tuesday. Anna Kalanzhova, who teaches Bulgarian and Ukrainian at the Odesa Law Lyceum and ninth-graders of the lyceum were guests at the event.
"We are particularly impressed by the fact that the Cyrillic appears alongside the Roman and the Greek alphabet on the euro banknotes of 2026, " pupils Daria Miroshnikova and Lika Velchuk told BTA's BG World service.
"Today's topic is quite relevant for our 9th to 11th graders who study economics in addition to legal sciences. They are interested in Bulgaria's accession to the eurozone and the introduction of the euro in the country," Kalanzhova said for her part, adding that she covered Tuesday's topic during her Bulgarian language classes at the lyceum.
"Our lyceum enrolls quite a few pupils of Bulgarian descent, who are planning to apply for admission to higher educational establishments in Bulgaria," the teacher pointed out.
Since 2015, Bulgarian language has been a required subject at the Odesa Law Lyceum.
