Velichie Party Registers Candidates for October 25 Presidential Election

Velichie political party submitted documents to the Central Election Commission (CEC) to register Ivelin Mihaylov as its presidential candidate and Yuliana Mateeva as vice-presidential candidate for the October 25, 2026 presidential election. The party submitted 7,000 signatures in support of its registration.

Bulgaria Ranks First in EU in Labour Costs in Second Quarter as Growth Rate in Euro Area Slows

Bulgaria recorded the strongest yearly increase (+9.9%) in hourly labour costs for wages and salaries in the European Union in the second quarter of 2026, according to the latest data released by Eurostat on Wednesday. In the second quarter of 2026 the hourly labour costs rose by 3.1% in the euro area and by 3.2% in the EU, compared with the same quarter of the previous year. The two main components of labour costs are wages, salaries and non-wage costs.

NATO's Joint Force Command Naples Commander Visits North Macedonia

A delegation from NATO’s Joint Force Command Naples, led by Commander Admiral George Wikoff, is on a two-day visit to North Macedonia and, together with Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia Major General Sashko Lafchiski, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski, the government press service in Skopje said.
