The Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs adopted at second reading a draft law on transparency and integrity in governance, the so-called Lobbying Activities Act, submitted by GERB-UDF MP Georgi Georgiev at an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday. A proposal by Velichie MP Yuliana Mateeva to name the law “Lobbying Activities Act” was not adopted. Instead, Georgiev’s proposal to change the title of the draft law to “Act on Transparency in Interest Representation” was approved.
