Bulgarian Medical Association Alerts
Ethics Commission of Doctor's Statement about
Deaths after Covid-19 Vaccination

Sofia, January 20 (BTA) - The management board of the Bulgarian Medical Association (BMA) has alerted the Central Commission for Professional Ethics of allegations made by Assoc. Prof. Atanas Mangarov on Nova TV on January 16, 2022, the BMA said on Thursday. Mangarov stated that "564 people died because they were vaccinated".

The difference between "because they were vaccinated" and "even though they were vaccinated" may be small, but it makes what Mangarov said an outright lie that plays with people's fears and worries, the BMA added.

According to the only reliable and official information from the Ministry of Health and the Bulgarian Drug Agency, there is no proven causal link in Bulgaria between COVID-19 vaccines and death. There have been nine cases since the start of the vaccination campaign in which a correlation between vaccination against COVID-19 and a lethal outcome has been suspected, but in none of them has a link been proven, the BMA said.
