10,151 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 24%
Sofia, February 1 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 951,965, after 42,246 tests identified 10,151 newly infected persons on Monday, of whom 77.01 per cent are unvaccinated, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity 10,151 rate for the day stands at 24 per cent.
The active cases are 244,233. Currently, the hospitalized patients number
5,705, including 506 in intensive care. Of the 1,015 new hospital admissions,
88.08 per cent are not vaccinated.
Another 5,080 COVID patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 674,414.
Of 158 fatalities reported on Monday, 87.97 per cent were unvaccinated, and the death toll now adds up to 33,318.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 2,064 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 1,149 and Varna Region with 725.
With 7,975 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,164,478 vaccine
doses have been administered so far, 1,996,484 people are fully
vaccinated, and 611,314 have received a booster jab. DD
