94 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 1.4%
Sofia, August 2 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 425,148, after 6,691 tests identified 94 new infections on Sunday, according to data posted Monday on the national coronavirus information platform at https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 1.4 per cent.
Varna (on the Black Sea) tops the list of new cases with 19 positive tests.
The active cases are 8,379. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 810, including 81 in intensive care.
Two fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 18,215.
With 2,171 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,030,301 persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far, including 1,011,143 who are fully vaccinated.
