The Talents Without Borders international exhibition opened in Sofia on Tuesday, celebrating the creativity of Bulgarian children living abroad and their enduring connection to their homeland, the organizers said.
“This exhibition is far more than a display of children’s artwork. It is a bridge between Bulgaria and Bulgarian communities abroad, proving that wherever our children live, Bulgaria remains in their hearts,” emphasized Iliyana Boyadzhieva Smith, Head of the Nayden Gerov Bulgarian School in the UK.
The exhibition features nearly 250 works by students from 14 Bulgarian schools abroad, created for the second Talents Without Borders competition, held during the 2025/26 school year under the patronage of the President of Bulgaria and supported by the Ministry of Education.
Students competed in art, photography, creative writing and documentary film, inspired by Bulgaria’s nature, history, traditions and culture. Boyadzhieva Smith highlighted the vital role of Bulgarian weekend schools in preserving language, heritage and identity, thanking teachers, parents, partners and institutions.
The exhibition is open to visitors from July 28 to 30.
