Sofia, November 11 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 646,856, after 39,231 tests identified 3,853 new infections on Wednesday, 84.79 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 9.82 per cent.

The active cases are 114,171. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 8,398, including 760 in intensive care. Of the 872 hospital admissions, 90.71 per cent were not vaccinated.

Another 4,535 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 506,931.

A total of 199 fatalities were reported (92.46 per cent unvaccinated) and the death toll now adds up to 25,754.

With 17,375 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,013,177 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,588,991 people are fully vaccinated, and 33,625 have received a booster jab.

Starting on November 11, green COVID-19 certificates become valid for people with antibodies as a result of recovering from the coronavirus infection, as per the Health Minister's order.

The certificate will be issued to people tested in a laboratory. The threshold is 150 BAU/ml of the Anti-SARS-CoV2 IgG. The document, which will be available at https://his.bg, will be valid for a period of 90 days after the antibody test is administered. DT/MY
