1922: The Constitutional Bloc coalition is set up by the Democratic Party, the Radical Party and the United People's Progressive Party with the ambition to oust the government of the Bulgarian Agrarian People's Union.
1965: The Union of Musicians in Bulgaria holds constituent congress.
1990: Bowing to pressure from public protests, Petar Mladenov resigns as President (Chairman) of the Republic.
2001: 39th National Assembly accepts the resignation of the Ivan Kostov government after general elections held on June 17, 2001, when the Simeon II National Movement of Bulgaria's last monarch, Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, wins a landslide. Formed in May 1997, it is the second government of the United Democratic Forces, and the first since the start of democratic changes in 1989 to serve out its mandate.
