site.btaDefence Ministry to Organize Summer Holiday in Bulgaria for Ukrainian Children

The Council of Ministers has approved a decision to allow the Ministry of Defence to organize a summer holiday in Bulgaria for children from Ukraine and their accompanying guardians, the Government information service reported. 

The purpose of the decision is to provide a summer retreat in Bulgaria for children who have experienced trauma due to the war, in order to help restore their physical, mental, and emotional health. This initiative represents another humanitarian act by the Ministry of Defence, demonstrating humane and dignified treatment toward the children of fallen Ukrainian servicemen and volunteers. 

The Ukrainian children will be accommodated at the Sarafovo - MoD hotel, managed by the Executive Agency for Military Clubs and Military Recreation, under the Ministry of Defence. The stay is scheduled for the period from August 30 to September 9, 2025.
