President Iliana Iotova condemned the deadly Berlin Pride attack and expressed solidarity with the German people in a social media post on Sunday.

One woman was killed and 29 people were injured, some seriously, in an attack in Berlin late Saturday. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz condemned the deadly attack on Berlin Pride as “an attack on society as a whole,” dpa reported.

“Such crimes are an attack not only on human life but also on the fundamental values on which our democratic societies are built: freedom, dignity, tolerance and the rule of law,” Iotova said.
