Multiple strikes were carried out on infrastructure sites in the Ukrainian Danube city of Reni following a massive overnight drone attack, the Operational Headquarters of the Izmail District State Administration in Odesa Region reported on Facebook.

The statement reported damages on the local railway station, electrical substations and parts of the industrial infrastructure. According to the headquarters, since 3 am all critical infrastructure in Reni Municipality has been powered by generators, as are educational institutions in the city.

All services are working to eliminate the damage from the overnight attack, restore electricity supply and stabilize the situation.

The Bulgarian community in Odesa Region numbers over 150,000 people and ranks third in size according to the latest official census in Ukraine. In the city of Odesa itself, there are about 50,000–60,000 Bulgarians. The largest concentrated Bulgarian population is found in the Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
