site.btaVolleyball: Levski Wins Bulgarian Supercup for Third Consecutive Time
Levski's men's volleyball team, after winning a treble last season, has started the new campaign by defeating Lokomotiv Avia Plovdiv 3:1 (26:28, 25:23, 25:21, 25:20) to claim the Bulgarian Supercup.
The presence of superstar Matey Kaziyski in the Plovdiv squad wasn’t enough to lead the team to victory. This marks Levski’s third consecutive Supercup title—two years ago they beat the favorite Hebar, last year they triumphed over Deya Sport, and now they’ve overcome runners-up Lokomotiv Avia.
Matey Kaziyski, meanwhile, is leaving Lokomotiv after just two matches and will play this season in Turkiye for Halkbank Ankara, coached by Radostin Stoychev.
The match was played in front of a packed Levski Sofia arena.
