site.btaLottery Operator CEO Dismissed after Faulty Draw

Youth and Sports Minister Ivan Peshev dismissed Georgi Tarlekov as Executive Director and Management Board member at the Bulgarian Sports Totalizator (popularly known as the Toto), a state-owned company which operates lottery games and sport betting. The move came after Sunday’s draw in the Totalizator’s game "Second Lotto Chance - 5 out of 35" was compromised as the last number drawn from the winning combination turned out to be 41. There are not supposed to be numbers bigger than 35 in the “5 out of 35” format.
