In the women's event, Zamfirova put in a strong showing to finish fifth overall. She posted the second-fastest time on the more difficult blue course, 41.86 seconds, followed by 44.06 seconds on the red course, for a total of 1:25.92.

Italian skiers Elisa Caffont and Lucia Dalmasso claimed second and third, while Germany's Ramona Theresia Hofmeister, Saturday's race winner, placed fourth. The other Bulgarian women were eliminated after the first stage, failing to reach the top 32.

In the elimination round Zamfirova will race against Canada's Lanxi Wei, who qualified 12th.

In the men's competition, Tervel Zamfirov recorded the sixth-fastest time in qualification, clocking 1:19.02, with Yankov just behind in seventh at 1:19.06. As a result, Zamfirov will face Austria's Andreas Prommegger in the round of 16, while Yankov takes on Italy's Aaron March.

Germany's Jannik Angenend set the pace in the men's qualifiers with a time of 1:18.07. Italian riders Edwin Coratti and Maurizio Bormolini followed closely, finishing 0.05 and 0.30 seconds behind, respectively. Other top qualifiers included Austria's Fabian Obmann and Switzerland's Dario Caviezel.
