Eurozone membership will not give Bulgaria additional priorities but will highlight and emphasize existing ones, Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh said in Veliko Tarnovo (North Bulgaria) on Tuesday. He was speaking at a meeting organized as part of the National Information Campaign on the introduction of the Euro in Bulgaria.

“The Eurozone will certainly not magically improve tourism, but it will emphasize its advantages. Business communication will be much easier when conducted in a single currency for the largest economies,” the Minister said.

According to Borshosh, tourism is often highlighted as an example of the Eurozone’s benefits, though other sectors also stand to gain. “This is a union that protects its members, is well-known, and carries enormous weight globally,” the Minister noted.
