A delegation of Bulgaria’s Commission on Protection of Competition (CPC), led by its Deputy Chair Radomir Cholakov, participated in the June session of the Competition Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which was held in Paris between June 17 and 20, the CPC said on Thursday.
The CPC delegation was given a hearing on the implementation of the Committee’s recommendations to Bulgaria in the field of competition law and policy. Cholakov outlined the work done so far and the actions taken to fulfill all short-term recommendations.
He informed the Committee members about the strong commitment of the new CPC to promptly implement the remaining short-term recommendations concerning competition and some of the medium-term recommendations which Bulgaria will have to carry out after joining the OECD as they will help enhance the CPC’s law enforcement work and its transparency.
During the June session of the Competition Committee, the Bulgarian delegation held separate meetings and exchanged opinions with other national competition authorities and discussed future cooperation.
