Housing prices in Bulgaria increased by 15.1% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, the National Statistical Institute reported on Tuesday.
On a quarterly basis, prices rose by 4.2% compared to the last quarter of 2024.
The highest annual increase was recorded in Ruse, where housing prices went up by 9.0%, followed by Varna (+5.8%), Stara Zagora (+4.0%), and Plovdiv (+3.7%).
In comparison, during the first quarter of 2024, housing prices increased by 16% year-on-year. On a quarterly basis then, the sharpest rises were reported in Varna (9.0%), Sofia (8.6%), and Stara Zagora (5.2%), while Ruse registered a decline of 0.9%.
