site.btaRepairs Close One Lane of Trakia Motorway in Sliven Region until End-June

Due to road surface repairs, starting May 8, traffic between kilometres 237 and 253 of the Trakia Motorway in the Sliven region will be redirected to the Sofia-bound lanes. There will be one lane in each direction—toward Sofia and toward Burgas—according to Valya Modeva, head of the Sliven Regional Road Department, who made the announcement on Thursday.
The repair works are planned to continue until June 30.
The website of the Road Infrastructure Agency cautions drivers to obey the traffic rules and the speed limit, as well as to avoid risky overtaking, which could endanger the safety of others on the road. The emergency lanes of motorways should not be used for faster travel in heavy traffic, as they are explicitly meant for vehicles with special traffic regimes in case of accidents.
